  • Ramadan Special

During our holy month of Ramadan, we host Taraweeh (8 raka’ahs) and Witr (3 raka’ahs) prayers daily after Isha' prayers. Iftar is an act that brings blessings to Muslims. Having it together with our Muslim brothers and sisters is a great act of kindness and one that is greatly favored by Allah (SWT). it is said that Whoever offers a meal to his/her Muslim brother/sister at the time of iftar (the meal eaten by Muslims breaking their fast after sunset during the month of Ramadan), s/he receives as much reward as s/he has earned. Nothing becomes less of the reward of those s/he offered meals to. (Tirmidhî, Sawm: 82; Ibn-i Majah, Siyam: 40). We host a range of Iftars for; the community, brothers, sisters, and youth and for fundraising purposes.

The last 10 nights, as we all know are the holiest nights in Islam where we solely focus on worshipping Allah and refrain from involvement in worldly affairs. It is a time to reflect, increase worship, and increase one’s religious knowledge, seeking closeness to Allah. In the congregation, we’ll do Qiyam-ul-Layl and even have a special Qiyam night where we do Taraweeh prayer, quiz, lecture, Qiyam, and Suhoor.
